Key Points
– The church is not achieving as much as it could achieve. When it comes to Christian service, the church turns the Bible upside down. The church needs to have a better understanding of what Christian service is all about.When the church is doing things the right way, it will function as the human body in excellence.
– How does the human body operate to compare it to the body of Christ? In the human body, there is no volunteer part. To use any part of your body, you do not need to take permission from it before it starts to function. Once the head (mind) decides, the body will mobilize. if God gets hold of you, he can use you the way he wants. You are not a volunteer but God has called you for the building of the body
– In the human body there is no redundant part. Every organ has a role to play. If a part is well, it will be functional.
– An average Christian believe the work of the ministry is the work of Pastors. The work of the ministry is not the work of the pastors. The job of pastors is to enable the members to serve. When you are saved, you need someone to develop you in the area of our calling. The primary assignment of the pastor is to prepare members of the church for the work of the ministry.
– The Christian service is a divine assignment given to an individual for the accomplishment of purpose. Whatever the divine assignment is, it is to solve certain problems in humans. The area of Christian service must not be limited to the church. Don’t take what you do in church as a ministry but look beyond the church.
– The primary assignment of Christian leadership is equip, discover and develop the different areas of calling.
– We are not volunteers but Ministers. Minister means servant.
– Any leader God brings your way is to make you to become God’s perfect vessel. Providence brings people together in. There is no accident in providence. Whatever we have to become is the in hands of some people we have to pass through.
– What makes the supernatural happen is the operation of the spiritual gift. In a church, all the gifts should be in operation. Operations of the supernatural are what bring people to church. People don’t follow maturity they follow gifts.
– All gifts are to be in operation in a local church. All gifts are to submit leadership to their pastor.
– What is destroying the body of Christ is that not all spiritual gifts are in operation in all churches. What God expects is that we will be few and minister to one another. In the body of Christ, there is no one without a gift.
